THE MONTENVERS - MER DE GLACE
The Montenvers Cog Railway, running from 1908, transports visitors to the Montenvers site, in the famous Mer de Glace. upon arrival, many exhibitions to learn much about the life of the greatest French glacier and all alpine nature. A cave carved into the heart of the Mer de Glace offers a strange tour into the world of glaciers.
THE VILLAGE OF CHAMONIX
Other sites to visit if you have enough time: the Alpine Museum, Church, place Balmat and Saussure, but also the cemetery where the greatest mountaineers are buried.
